Reciter: Imam Saud Al-Shuraim
Saud Al-Shuraim (born in 1966) is a well-known Quran reciter and Islamic scholar from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He served as an Imam and Friday preacher at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah for many years, starting in 1991.
He studied at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and earned a Ph.D. in Islamic studies from Umm al-Qura University. He later became a professor and dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies.
Sheikh Al-Shuraim is known for his calm and clear recitation, and he led Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan for over three decades. His recitation style is peaceful and deeply spiritual, which has touched the hearts of millions around the world.
He stepped down as an Imam in 2022 and shared a farewell poem to mark the end of his service.
