About the Reciter: Maher Ibn Hamd Ibn Mueaql Al Mueaqly Al Balouia
Maher Al-Muaiqly (born January 7, 1969) is a well-known Quran reciter and Imam from Saudi Arabia. He was born in the city of Madinah and later moved to Makkah.
He holds degrees in mathematics and Islamic studies, and he earned a Master’s in jurisprudence (Fiqh) from Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah.
He is widely recognized for leading prayers at the Masjid al-Haram (the Grand Mosque in Makkah), especially during Ramadan and Hajj seasons. His recitation is loved for its calm, emotional, and clear tone, which helps listeners deeply connect with the Quran.
Sheikh Maher is known for his strong command of Tajweed and a soft, heartfelt voice that brings peace and reflection to hearts around the world.
In 2007, he was appointed a permanent Imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, and since then, his voice has become familiar to millions through live Taraweeh, Hajj broadcasts, and recordings.
