Mishary Rashid Alafasy (born 1976) is a well-known Quran reciter, imam, and nasheed artist from Kuwait. He was born in Kuwait City and studied at the Islamic University of Madinah, where he focused on the ten qira’at (methods of Quranic recitation) and tafsir (Quran explanation).
