Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi (1920–1969) was a famous Quran reciter from Egypt. He was born in the city of El Minshawi and memorized the whole Quran when he was still young.
He came from a well-known family of Quran reciters—his father was also a respected Qari.
He learned the rules of Tajweed and became skilled in maqamat (melodic styles of recitation). His voice is known for being clear, emotional, and perfectly pronounced.
People called him “Al-Qari Al-Bakaa” (The Crying Reciter) because his deep and touching recitation often made listeners cry.
